Sooke, BC
My beginning in photography was during high school, many years ago, where I took photos and developed them for the school paper and yearbook. For fun, I would go to airshows and photograph planes in flight. When I was finished school, I decided on a career in the Canadian Armed Forces, where I had the opportunity to travel to many interesting places all around the world, but was rarely able to practice photography. As my military career was winding down, I rediscovered my love for photography and haven't looked back.
I primarily shoot landscape, nature and travel images, although, I also really enjoy night photography (light painting and astro photography). I spend most of my time on Vancouver Island, where I like to explore the vast wilderness, but I always bring my camera(s) to capture new locations, whenever I get the chance to travel.
Recently, I have started to dabble in abstract painting as well.
I have been involved in many local projects, including the Sooke Photo Club and currently I am the Vice President of the Sooke Arts Council.
